To Become a Member of Terraces Toastmasters

1. Download and fill out the membership application form. The dues are prorated based on the month that you join. New member's fee is $20. You will receive several informational booklets from Toastmasters International to help you get started. Monthly international dues are $4.50 a month (on the front of the application form) and monthly local club dues (on the second page of the application form) are $2 a month. That figures out to be only $39 for six months. The chart on the application form will help you calculate your membership payment. Bring your application and a check with you to the next meeting.
   

2. Get started preparing your first speech. Even though you have not received your materials in the mail, you can still start on your first speech. A copy of the instructions for preparing that speech and the second one is found here.

Participate in the Meeting

During your Toastmasters experience, you will have an opportunity to serve in many capacities. By participating in all functions, you will receive well-rounded experience in communication and leadership. The following article explains all of the meeting functions  Read "A Toastmaster Wears Many Hats" .  When you are the Toastmaster, please download this Agenda and fill in the information required, print 25 copies to bring to the meeting and send a copy to VPE for review prior to the meeting Agenda Template .

Member's Monthly Schedule

To make sure you meet your personal speech goals, plan ahead to be placed on the schedule. Email the Vice President of Education, Tom, to schedule your speech.

The Toastmaster's program recognizes the achievements of it's members, starting with the CTM award.  Leadership awards are also available. View Toastmaster awards available and their requirements.

A successful Toastmasters club is one that has a healthy, active membership and helps its members achieve their educational goals.  The Distinguished Club Program is designed to promote achievement in the areas most critical to a club's success.
